Full Journal pdf1998-05-11 House Journal Page 3815 HB 486 Representative Porter moved and asked unanimous consent that the House consider the Senate message (page 3774) on the following at this time: CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 486(L&C) "An Act relating to the Alaska Securities Act; and providing for an effective date." and CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 486(L&C) am S (same title) There being no objection, it was so ordered. Representative Porter moved that the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 486(L&C), thus adopting CSHB 486(L&C) am S, and recommended that the members vote no. The question being: "Shall the House concur in the Senate amendment to CSHB 486(L&C)?" The roll was taken with the following result: CSHB 486(L&C) am S Concur YEAS: 1 NAYS: 30 EXCUSED: 0 ABSENT: 9 Yeas: Vezey Nays: Austerman, Barnes, Bunde, Cowdery, Croft, Davis, Dyson, Elton, Foster, Green, Grussendorf, Hanley, Hodgins, James, Joule, Kelly, Kemplen, Kohring, Kookesh, Kott, Kubina, Martin, Masek, Mulder, Nicholia, Ogan, Phillips, Porter, Rokeberg, Therriault 1998-05-11 House Journal Page 3816 HB 486 Absent: Berkowitz, Brice, Davies, Hudson, Ivan, Moses, Ryan, Sanders, Williams And so, the House failed to concur in the Senate amendment, thus failing to adopt CSHB 486(L&C) am S. The Chief Clerk was instructed to so notify the Senate and respectfully request it to recede. In the event the Senate fails to recede from its amendment, the Speaker appointed the following members to a Conference Committee to meet with a like committee from the Senate to consider the above bills: Representative Rokeberg, Chair Representative Kott Representative Kookesh The Speaker granted limited powers of free conference on Section 43.
